ARMADILLOS

In my reading group, The Romance Rockers, we have been reading about Armadillos. Here is an acrostic poem i made about armadillos:

Armadillos have shells
Really good hearing and sense of smell
Mammals
Armour protects from predators
Don't have good eyesight
It can hold its breath for 6 minutes
Low body temperature
Little hairs on its body
Once inside a burrow it can be hard to remove

Here is a picture of me working on my earthquake house made out of acrylic at technology. I also made a pizza, a name tag and a musical note out of alluminum that is going to be put up on the fence at home. This week we are changing class at tech and i am looking forward to finding out what class we will go in. :) :) :) :)

Please Say A Prayer

Today was a very sad day at school. We had some very sad new about the passing of one of our teacher aides Miss Lynne Penny. Our prayers and thoughts are with her and her family at this very sad time. R.I.P Miss Penny

Winter Sport

Hello Today was our first winter sport game for the year and it was also my very first hockey game. I am in ola team b with my two best friends Krystal and Eliza. Unfortunately our team lost 14-0 we versed kaipoi and they were amazing hockey players. Even though we lost I still enjoyed myself and had lots of fun. Keep up the good work and I hope we win next week. :) Caitlin :)

Hey guys Today we won't to technology and I finished the musical note that I was making out of alluminum. Our year seven class was making garden art out of either flat bar alluminum or round rod alluminum. Some of them had stands and some didn't mine didn't have a stand. On Wednesday afternoons for science fair we went to a different classroom for a different science experiment in each class. Today my class went to mrs macdonalds class and we made vanilla ice cream. When we finished making the ice cream we put some in a cupcake holder and got to eat it. The ice cream was delicious! Tomorrow we are starting winter sport and I am in one of the year 7/8 hockey teams. This will be my first time playing hockey and for the past two years I have played soccer so I don't really know what to do. I hope the weather is fine tomorrow so we can play on the fields. Cross Country Today!

Today was the cross country and it was drizzling. The race I was in was second to last so we were waiting for what seemed like forever. Finally it was our turn and after 2 exhausting laps including the dog lap i came third to last. But I made an improvement from other years by not coming last and this was the first year my Mum wasn't there to watch. Overall it was a fun experience and I am looking forward to next years cross country. :)

CROSS COUNTRY

Hi guys,
how are you all?
At O.L.A. school our yearly cross country is this Thursday
it is at the Halswell Quarry for parents to come and watch.
I hope everyone  tries their best and completes the race.
Personally I am not looking forward to it because I don't
like running but I will try my best!
